Imphal, September 25 2025: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee's (MPCC) legal department has dismissed a news report suggesting a possible change in the MPCC president post as unfounded and baseless.

The news story was published under the heading "New chief of MPCC likely?" .

In a press release, Advocate S Shyamcharan Singh, chairman of the MPCC legal department, stated that after communicating with the All India Congress Committee, it was confirmed that the news report is baseless.
