Imphal, June 24 2025: The public, specially those who have erected unauthorised structures, both permanent and temporary, upon riverbanks and drainage systems within Imphal East district have been directed to dismantle and remove these structures within seven days.

Imphal East DC Dr Nivedita Lairenlakpam issued a notice to this effect on June 23.Failure to comply with the notice will lead to eviction and demolition by the concerned line departments without further notice, it added.
