Imphal, September 23 2024: Acting on specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in general area of Gangpijang village, Churachandpur district, security forces launched a joint operation on September 21 and recovered a total of 10 weapons and war like stores, said IGAR South.

The weapons recovered in the operation carried out by the troops of Assam Rifles and Manipur police include one 38 mm Grenade Launcher, six 12 mm Single Barrel Rifles and three improvised long range heavy mortars.

The recovered items have been handed over to the police.
