Imphal, October 22 2025: Enat Yokkhatpa Luptin (EYOL), Manipur has urged the people to refrain from organising Thabal Chongba on Ningol Chakkouba festival.

Organising Thabal Chongba on Ningol Chakkouba day will undermine the spirit of the festival, said EYOL in a statement.

Expressing serious concern about changing nature of festivities, EYOL said the traditional Thabal Chongba shouldn't be treated as an entertainment programme.

It advised those providing light and sound system not to rent their equipment for Thabal Chongba on October 23 .
