Imphal, January 22: Mrs Priya-darshni M Gangte of Old Lambulane Jail Road has donated a sum of Rs 45,000 plus Rs 3600 (interest amount) for instituting a gold Medal in memory of her husband (L) Dr TS Gangte.

The name of the Gold Medal will be 'Dr TS Gangte Memorial Gold Medal' and will be conferred to the topper of MSc Anthropology in Social and Cultural Anthropology with effect from January 2008, informed a release issued by the Registrar, Manipur University Prof N Lokendra Singh.
