Imphal, February 21 2016 :
Atleast 87 bombs, believed to be of World War-II period have been excavated at Moreh Ward No 9 Chanou village.
Police sources said that after some banana-flower shaped big bombs were recovered while digging earth for construction of a power sub-station, the area was guarded by Moreh police the whole last night.

Digging of earth using excavator continued this morning after bomb experts were called at the site from Imphal.
In all, 87 bombs were recovered from the area.
All the explosives were taken to Moreh police station using a mini truck, police said.
