2 killed in road mishap

Imphal, April 18 2026: Two persons were killed in a road accident when their Gypsy plunged into a gorge along NH-137 between Azuram and Makru area under Tousem sub-division at 1.15 pm yesterday.

The two have been identified as Miusinreiyang Panmei of Chaengdai village and Joy Panmei of Duilon village of Tamenglong district.

The deceased were the chairman and vice-president of Rongmei Naga Youth Association Manipur, Tamenglong Luangrian, respectively.

They were travelling from Tamenglong HQ for Assam.

The Tribal Youth Council (TYCM), Manipur has condoled the unfortunate incident and extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
