H Lokhon no more

Imphal, January 15 2026: Former Finance Minister and Deputy Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Henam Lokhon, passed away last night at the age of 94 .

A resident of Phoijing Awang Leikai in Konthoujam Assembly Constituency, Lokhon is survived by his wife H Loidang, and eight children - six sons and two daughters.

He was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly four times in 1980, 1984, 1995, and 2000, representing Konthoujam Assembly Constituency.
