Imphal, October 13 2008: Thoubal Police Commandos have apprehended one cadre of the proscribed KCP (Sengoi faction) from Kakching Lamkhai yesterday.

According to a statement issued by SP of Thoubal District today, on receipt of reliable information about the movement of KCP cadres in the general area of Kakching Lamkhao at around 1.30 pm yesterday, a team of Thoubal Police Commandos conducted frisking and checking operation in and around the area.

During the operation at around 2 pm, a cadre of the proscribed KCP (Sengoi faction) later identified as Nongthombam Samar alias Thengnu alias Nanao Meitei (24) s/o late N Apabi Meitei of Keirak Mayai Leikai was arrested, the SP informed.
