Bpr, August 13 2024: Indian Army personnel safely rescued a 69 year old driver after his truck accidentally skidded off NH-2 and plunged into a pond near Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district on August 12 .

The incident occurred while the truck was en route to Phougakchao from Moirang.

Soldiers stationed at a nearby camp rushed to the incident site and swiftly pulled out the driver identified as Keisam Tomba Singh from the submerged truck.

A medical team provided immediate medical aid to the driver who had sustained some injuries.

He was then shifted to the nearest Government hospital.
