Imphal, July 12 2024: A man was shot on his right thigh by unknown persons at Lamphel near Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS), today at around 2.30 pm.

The injured has been identified as Wakambam Nelson (26), s/o Nimaichand of Takyel Khongbal Thoudam Leikai.

He is undergoing treatment at Shija Hospitals and his condition is said to be stable.

It is reported that Nelson was taken to the hospital by the unknown persons who shot him.

Soon after, a team of Lamphel police rushed to the site of the incident and Shija Hospitals and took statements of the injured.

A case has been registered at Lamphel police station.
