Imphal, February 12 2026: The Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) held an oath-taking ceremony today at the Uttra Sanglen, Sana Konung for its newly appointed office bearers for the 2026-2028 term.

The new executive members were sworn in by Angom Ningthou Poireiton, following traditional customs.

The team includes Oinam Romesh as president, Ningthoujam Rajesh as vice president, and Thoudam Shyamjai as general secretary, along with 15 other members.

At the event, Oinam Romesh vowed to tackle community challenges, prioritizing the "broken" Government primary education system.
