Imphal, August 11 2024: As part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya planted tree saplings at the premises of Raj Bhavan in Imphal today.

According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, the Governor emphasized the need to conserve the environment and urged all to participate in this campaign to contribute in building a human friendly lush green environment.

Later in the evening, the Governor went to Shri Shri Govindajee Temple in Palace Compound and attended the Sandhya Aarti (Darshan) ritual.

He prayed for restoration of peace and normalcy in the State during the ritual.
