Imphal, September 09 2025: Security measures have been tightened in Imphal ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's anticipated visit on September 13.Sources said, the Additional Director General (ADG) 6f the Special Protection Group (SPG) has landed in Imphal today to review and oversee security preparedness.

The SPG is India's elite security unit responsible for the safety and security of the Prime Minister.

The SPG in coordination with the police are expected to carry out exercises to secure all potential venues.
