Imphal, July 04 2024: Unknown armed miscreants fired some rounds of bullet at the residence of Kuki People's Alliance (KPA) MLA Chinlunthang (Singhat) AC at around 12.05 am today.

After firing at the MLA's residence located at Zou Veng, Zenhang Lamka, Churachandpur, the unknown armed miscreants fled, taking advantage of the darkness.

Although some portions of the wall were damaged, there was no report of any injury.

Later, police reportedly recovered five empty cases of AK 47 assault rifle, sources said.

According to the sources, a case has been registered at the concerned police station in connection with the incident.
