Kakching, January 03 2026: Laipham Pana Liklai Loishang organised the annual ritual of Nongkhrang Ehanba at Kwakpa Irei along the Sekmai River at Kakching Panjao Panlum today.

On the occasion, people of the Meitei faith from the region performed ritualistic dipping in the waters of Kwakpa Irei.

The gathering also paid homage to the seven ancestors who sacrificed their lives for the Sanamahi faith with prayers and offerings of flowers as well as other oblations.

Floral tributes were also paid at the memorial site of the seven ancestors located at Laipham Pana Liklai Loishang.
