Imphal, December 30 2022: The 86th birth anniversary of Lamyanba NK Sanajaoba was observed today at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound under the aegis of the NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust.

The Freedom Editor RK Ranendrajit and NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust president Arambam Lokendra attended the function as chief guest and president respectively.

The Imphal Times Editor Rinku Khumukcham presented a paper on the topic 'NK Sanajaoba: The Pioneer of Investigative Journalism in Manipur' .

Giving key-note address of the birth anniversary function, NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust vice-president Sh Shamu said that NK Sanajaoba dedicated his life for the cause of Manipur.

By serving as the Editor of the monthly journal published by the Pan-Manipur Youth League, NK Sanajaoba woke up all the people of Manipur.

For his contributions in waking up the young and old people alike, NK Sanajaoba was recognised as the pioneer of investigative journalism in the State, Shamu said.

NK Sanajaoba dedicated his life to journalism.

He was a bold journalist who never compromised facts, Shamu said.

It's time for today's generation to imbibe the qualities of NK Sanajaoba and reveal the real power of journalism.

It is with this conviction that the birth anniversary function was organised, he added.
