Raj Medicity goes one up with nursing institute

Raj Medicity Nursing Institute (RMNI) was formally inaugurated today, with classes scheduled to commence from September 10.The BSc nursing college will offer 40 seats and be supported by 23 faculty members.
Additionally, an advisory committee has been established to ensure the institute's smooth functioning.
The annual admission fee for the BSc Nursing course is Rs 1.22 lakh, with the option to pay in instalments or semesterwise.
The institute does not charge additional fees for library, computer, sports, and recreation facilities.
The inaugural function of RMNI held at Raj Medicity, North AOC was graced by Special Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Salam Somorjit as chief guest, Chairman cum Managing Director of Raj Medicity Haobijam Rajen as functional president and Registrar of Manipur Nursing Council Aribam Jamuna and Additional Director of Health Services Dr A Bino as guests of honour.
Addressing the function, Salam Somorjit expressed hope that the nursing institute established by Raj Medicity would excel and prove to be a valuable addition.
Noting the globally increasing demand for nursing professionals, he emphasized that the nursing profession would remain resilient to job cuts driven by Artificial Intelligence advancements, as nursing inherently requires human empathy and emotional connection.
H Rajen stated that Raj Medicity, which began as a small hospital in 2004, has grown into a 150-bedded hospital, attributing its success to the dedication of its doctors, nurses, paramedics, and staff.
He added that they are planning to introduce GNM courses from the next academic year.
