Positive cases rise by 15

Imphal, August 30 2022: Altogether 15 persons, all from the general population, were confirmed positive out of 510 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours which implies daily positivity rate of 2.9 per cent.

The 15 people who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (2), Imphal West (8), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (1) and Churachandpur (1) .

In the meantime, 12 persons were discharged from home isolation 10) and RIMS (2) following completion of their surveillance period.

The death toll remains unchanged at 2147 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,39,697 (general population 1,34,677 and Central security personnel 5,020) .

It includes 59 active cases, all from general population and 1,37,491 recovered cases (general population 1,32,478 and Central security personnel 5,013) .

The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.42 per cent.

Taking into account 3775 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 31,76,467 (first dose 16,29,436, second dose 13,03,647 and precautionary dose 2,43,384) .

Till August 29, 62.32 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid vaccines while 54.42 per cent has received both the first and second doses.
