Ningol Chakkouba celebrated at Langjing Achouba Old Age Home

Imphal, October 29 2025: Kindness Manipur in collaboration with Kangla Acupressure Alternative Therapy Treatment Research & Training Centre organised a Ningol Chakkouba feast forthe inmates of Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba today.

The Ningol Chakkouba celebration was attended by Dr RK Nayansana Devi, former Chairperson, Manipur State Social Welfare Board as the chief guest; Ksh Anand, advisor, Kindness Manipur and Ph Gyandutta, CEO, The Morning Bell as the guests of honour and RK Maipaksana, chief advisor, Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba and Dr Mayengbam Kamala Devi, president, Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba as the presidium members, said a press release.

At the event, gifts were presented to 30 Ningols of the Home.

Old Age Home, Langjing Achouba secretary KC Gita, advisory board member Rakesh Naorem and noted Manipuri film actor Gokul Athokpam delivered speeches on the occasion.

Today's celebration marks the 4th Ningol Chakkouba held at the Old Age Home.

During the event, Dr Mayengbam Kamala said that the Old Age Home has operated till date without any assistance from the State Government.

She also sought the help of the public to complete the unfinished construction of the Old Age Home.
