Urmila Chanam appointed

Urmila Chanam, menstrual health and hygiene activist, founder of Breaking the Silence Worldwide Foundation, grassroot social worker and an award-winning journalist, has been appointed in the governance body of the largest women's social network for change, World Pulse located in Oregon, USA.
She has been a member of the global sisterhood for fourteen and a half years and played different roles as its vocal contributor and ambassador to work towards having women's voices amplified and for their empowerment.
Urmila representing India will now work as part of Powershift Inclusive Excellence (PIE) committee along with eleven other women leaders from countries like Philippines, Nigeria, Trinidad & Tobago, Cameroon, Jamaica, Canada, South Africa, Kenya, Colombia and USA.
