Imphal, October 22: In continuing instances of level- ling charges and counter-charges against one another department of publicity and propaganda of the proscribed PREPAK said the outfit is ready to recall all the deserters back to the party fold.

However, unless and until the acting chairman confesses to the public of attempting to dismantle the organization further procedure would be decided by the central committee of PREPAK, said the statement issued today.

Describing leaders of the deserting groups as impostors and trying to malign the hard earned image of the revolutionary organization, the statement said it took serious note of the deserters observing 27th foundation anniversary of PREPAK as �people Revolution of Kangleipak� as was carried in various State dailies on October 9.The anniversary festoon depicted through the newspapers also showcases the ever increasing desperation of the impostor group, it said.

The publicity and propaganda department�s statement also termed as outrageous attempt to project PREPAK as being faction-ridden as names of all deserters have already been announced through the State media soon after the desertion.

Of the deserters 14 have deceased in separate incidents like two gunned down by police commandos, one lynched by the public, six slain for misconduct and five others mowed by the outfit�s Red Army in Kumbi area while rescuing a civilian, added the statement.

Three others are currently in a pitiable condition outside Manipur, some others languishing at jail while seven of the deserters have returned to the parent organization, it said.

If the number furnished by the statement is perused it could be concluded that the impostor group are running of men and the few said to be still with the group are drug addicts enrolled recently, it added maintaining proof to substantiate the contention could be made public.

Highlighting technicalities of forming the central committee, that was subsequently disbanded in July 2001, the statement said the committee had no power to control the Red Army.

Accusing the deserters of trying to foil endeavors for unification of all revolutionary organizations, the statement also condemned the deserting groups acting chairman - named as one Naba - of attempting to smear the image of UNLF by linking the latter to the Kumbi incident.
