Tree plantation drive continues

Jiribam, August 22 2024: As a part of the mass tree plantation campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam", tree saplings were planted in the compound of Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, Jiribam CD Block Office.

The initiative was led by Jiribam Block Development Officer (BDO) Tourangbam Janeshor.

Speaking by the sideline of the tree plantation campaign, BDO Tourangbam Janeshor said that the initiative was carried out with the participation of their staff to help mitigate the impacts of climate change to an extent.

He advocated for protection and preservation of ecological systems and the launching of a widespread movement wherein every household plants tree saplings in their homes.

Other officials present at the tree plantation drive include N Rajamani, Section Officer; Panchayat Secretaries H Brajakumar, L Ibocha, S Ranbir, Accountant Subendu Chaudhuri, Ashok Chaudhuri and other staff.
