Chandel, June 22 2022: Bujuur Shanuw Ruwrkheh (Moyon Women Organisation) today observed its 82nd Foundation Day cum Conference on the theme, "Aangkheng Na Bujuur Shanuw Ynthing Ichum Na Ingiir (Upholding the Integrity of Bujuur Shanuw in Diversity)" at Heigrutampak (Tungphae) Village Community Hall in Chandel district.

It was attended by Horticulture & Soil Conservation Director, Honey Chara and Bujuur Aanchung Puh president, Ch Francis Moyon as presidium members.

The event began with the hoisting of Bujuur Shanuw Ruwrkheh (BSR) flag by R Mamie, former president of BSR and unveiling of a memorial stone by Honey Chara.

BSR president, N Tiningsha gave the welcome address while BSR advisor, Dr Danney delivered the keynote address.

During the event, Honey Chara; Autonomous District Council Chandel, Agriculture Officer, Roni Roel; Woman Police, M Bala Moyon; PHC Komlathabi staff nurse, M Pethar Moyon; ICDS Supervisor, Elsie Chara; Liwachangning Government High School Headmistress, Sheiphani Roel Moyon; and Miss Congeniality (Miss India Super Model) 2022, Arenpha Ngoruh Moyon were felicitated.

Blessing prayer was conducted by Moyon Naga Baptist Association, executive secretary, Reverend Dr Ng Koningthung.

Later, a book titled "Social Change Among the Moyon Tribe of Manipur" written by Dr Penney Rose Chinir, FMA, was also released.
