Kakching, October 21 2021: The 2nd Federal Assembly of Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) for the term 2021-2025 was held at Langol Maring village community hall today.

Outstanding achievers of Chandel Nagas were also feted during the programme which was hosted by Maring Uparap Assembly (MUA).

MLA of 42-Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency D Korungthang, former member of Autonomous District Council Chandel Sh Manglem Monsang, president of CNPO Chandel Rd David Boyes, Speaker Khullak Meba Maring, president of ANSAM Thiingtung Wanglar, general secretary Sr Andrea, Inforamtion Secretary of UNC Sk Stephen, presidents of Anal, Lamkang, Maring, Chothe, Moyon, Monsang, Tarao, Aimol and Khoibu tribes who are members of CNPO attended the programme.

Outstanding achievers of Chandel Nagas who have excelled in different fields namely Dr Aishek Khular, Dr Donald Kosha Moyon, Dr Gina Shangkham, ST Luckson Anal, Huten Mingam Anal, Robert Shetkintong Dilbung Lamkang, Rev Dr Koningthung Ngoru Moyon, Dr HmunshelJasha Anal, Dr Larung Angshim Maring, Kl Warson Anal were honoured with mementos by CNPO.

Speaker Khullak Meba Maring administered the oath of the newly appointed secretary of CNPO, Angtun Anal and an installation and blessing service was also held led by Executive Secretary of Maring Naga Baptist Association (MNBA), Reverend D Shongin.

Later the 2nd Federal Assembly of Chandel Naga People's Organisation 2021-2025 was held chaired by Assembly Speaker of CNPO, Khullak Meba Maring.
