Imphal, April 19 2025: Six from Manipur have been selected for the International Icon Award- 2025 conferred to distinguished individuals by Trikon For World Foundation under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

According to a release issued by Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, Manipur State Chairman, Trikon For World Foundation, Laimayum Subharani Devi (writer) has been selected for the Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika International Icon Award 2025 .

Ksh Laiba Meitei (humanity service) and Wangkheirakpam Shreeman Singh (social work) have been selected for Indo Nepal Friendship International Icon Award 2025 and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam International Icon Award 2025 respectively.

Thounaojam Romen Singh (social work) and Khaidem Kalachand Singh (social work) have also been selected for the Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar International Icon Award 2025 .

Kakchingtabam Sumati Devi (nursing profession) has also been selected for the Life Time Achievement International Icon Award 2025 .

The awards will be presented during the Trikon For World Foundation International Conference scheduled to be held at Kathmandu, Nepal on May 12, 2025 .
