Imphal, October 16 2024: The dead body of 13 year old Longjam Kanta was found beneath Lilong Bridge under Lilong police station in the morning today.

According to reliable information, Longjam Kanto, s/o Kumar of Kumbi went missing after he went to the Imphal River near Kongba Irong on October 14 at around 1.30 pm.

The corpse was picked up by police from the river and handed over to the family members.

On the other hand, the body of a dead woman was found floating at Kanglapat opposite Classic Hotel in the early morning today.

According to police, the body was detected by morning joggers.

The body has been deposited at RIMS morgue for verification and post mortem.
