Imphal, February 15, 2010: Day by day the momentum for holding the Autonomous District Council in Tamenglong District was gear up since the announcement of tentative programme was declared.

Though the state government did not declare to hold the ADC election the intending candidates have started campaigning from door to doors and village to villages seeking voters.

A worship programme cum election campaign kicks off was held here at two intending candidates of one seeking congress ticket while one is consensus candidate of local MLA and Vice Chairman HAC- Khangthuanang Panmei constituency segment.

Khangthuanang Panmei, local MLA and Vice Chairman Hill Area Committee today attend a worship prgramme cum election campaign programme at Jeidi Gangmei, intending candidate under Chiulon segment, where thousands of supporters came together.

Addressing the public gathering, Khangthuanang Panmei, Vice Chairman Hill Area Committee said to chose the right person who would really work for the welfare of the people.

In the meantime, a reliable source said that in 53-Tamenglong AC/ST as many as seven intending candidates was shortlisted as consensus candidates who was believe to be anointed by Khangthuanang Panmei, local MLA and Vice Chairman Hill Area Committee.
