Imphal, May 13 2026:
Arambai Tenggol (AT) has slammed certain Kuki groups and their associates for attempting to link AT to today's killing in Kangpokpi, calling such allegations baseless and unsupported by any evidence.
In a statement issued by its control room operator at GHQ Khaba Mangang, AT said the recent incident in Kangpokpi district, which tragically resulted in the deaths and injuries of several Kuki individuals, is being deliberately and maliciously associated with AT by "Kuki narco-terrorists and their associates" without a shred of evidence.
It emphasised that the location of the attack was an area under heavy security restrictions, where not a single Meitei individual can access.
Under these circumstances, linking AT to the incident is entirely unfounded, unreasonable, and politically motivated, it said.
Saying that this pattern of cheap propaganda, false narratives, and manufactured allegations is nothing new, AT added that repeating lies again and again to confuse the public and manipulate emotions has become a habitual tactic of Kuki narco terrorists and their associates 'who survive on misinformation instead of facts' .
Arambai Tenggol has no connection whatsoever, directly or indirectly, with the killing or injury of innocent civilians in any manner, it said.
"Those spreading baseless accusations must stop this nonsense immediately," it said, emphasising that people are no longer blind to fabricated stories and agenda-driven propaganda aimed at creating division and unrest.
It added that falsehood may create noise for a moment, but truth will always stand stronger than orchestrated lies.
AT stated that the actions of Kuki narco terrorists and their associates can only be described as 'despicable and deceitful.' It seems that lying, cheating, and forgery are all deeply ingrained in the DNA of Kuki narco terrorists and their associates, AT said and alleged that their only goal is to further their own selfish agendas, even if it means spreading false narratives and creating prolonged crisis.
