Kakching, February 13 2025: Khangra Houbi Loukol Development Committee has urged the authorities concerned to conduct an eviction drive at Kakching Wairi village no 63 along the Khangra Houbi Loukon Inter Village Road (IVR) in Kakching district.

Speaking to media persons, a spokesman of the Committee refuted the claims made by one person that an eviction drive was carried out at Leingang Pat.

However, in response to the written application submitted by the Committee and Development Club, Kakching to the Deputy Commissioner Kakching, an order was issued on August 4, 2024 to evict the encroachers along the IVR.

In this matter, a case was filed at the Revenue Tribunal, Thoubal, which was later dismissed by the Presiding Officer on January 20, said the spokesman of the Committee.

On February 7, 2025 an order was issued to continue the eviction and on February 9, eviction was conducted at village no 59 along the stretch of Khangra Houbi IVR, asserted the spokesman.

Hence, the Committee has appealed to the authorities concerned to look into the matter and continue with the eviction drive at village no 63 .
