At one time, young children getting therapy for anxiety and stress was not very common.
However, it has become a more frequent occurrence in the present, she maintained.
Saying that these are the disadvantages of technology, she advised the gathering to use technology only in beneficial ways.
Meanwhile, Professor S Ibotombi shared that prolonged usage of mobile phones is detrimental to physical and mental health according to experts.
Stating that this is true of children too, he urged parents/guardians to keep their wards under control in this aspect.
Otherwise, it might prove to be the cause of depression in young kids, he added.
At the event, a book titled "Mental Health and Conflict Paradigm" was also released.
