CLP discusses about new Bill

With Chief Minister O Ibobi in the chair, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) held a meeting and discussed about a convening a Cabinet meeting so that the new Bill being drafted in place of the PMP Bill 2015 can be tabled in the State Assembly.
The CLP meeting discussed about whether the State Cabinet should send the new draft Bill to the Hill Areas Committee (HAC) or whether it should go from the State Assembly to the HAC.
Earlier, the State Government mooted about giving 15 days time to elicit public opinions and comments on the new draft Bill.
Lapses in the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and distribution of ration cards too figured at the CLP meeting.
It further discussed on approaching the NIC, New Delhi to plug in the lapses.
