MLAs urged to form Govt by June 10

Different Meira Paibi groups and Arambai Tenggol (AT) units in Bishnupur have called upon the MLAs to form a popular Government in Manipur by 6 pm of June 10.The demand was made during a demonstration and road closure at the Bishnupur Forest gate, held to protest the arrest of AT leader Asem Kanan.
Addressing the media, a protester called upon MLAs, including those currently in Delhi, to stake their claim to form a Government by June 10, 6 pm .
She urged the MLAs in Delhi to return to the State by tomorrow.
Saying that the MLAs should vacate their positions and leave the State if they Could not form a popular Government, she added that the AT and Meira Paibi groups in Bishnupur will take stem measures against the MLAs if their ultimatum is not met.
Meanwhile, a large group of women and AT volunteers held a rally from Ningthoukhong to the Bishnupur DC office to submit a memorandum with six demands.
However, the rally was blocked by district police near the DC office gate, and only 28 representatives were allowed to meet the Bishnupur ADM and SP, as the DC was unavailable, to submit the memorandum.
Normal life in Bishnupur was severely disrupted due to the unfolding situation in Manipur's valley districts, with major markets like Nambol Keithel, Oinam Keithel, Bishnupur Keithel, Ningthoukhong Keithel, Moirang Keithel, and Kumbi Keithel all closed.
Inter-district passenger services remained suspended, and private vehicle movement was minimal in the district.
Protesters also blocked Tiddim Road and Moirang-Kumbi Road at multiple locations, including Nambol, Oinam, Keinou, Bishnupur, Sunusiphai, Potshangbam, Upokpi, Thamnapokpi, Toupokpi, Ningthoukhong, Thinungei, Phubala, Naranseina, Moirang, and Kumbi, severely impacting daily life.
Many people who had come to the Bishnupur area for wedding ceremonies and other purposes were forced by protesters to take alternative routes.
