Senapati DC speaks on NREGS on AIR

Imphal, July 07: Speaking on the programme Khangminashi Eikhoi (Let us know together) on the All India Radio, Imphal, Senapati DC Nidhi Kesarwani has said that job cards under the NREGS for Senapati district are being issued only on the basis of proper verification of the houses and their members by photographic records.

Despite some initial hurdles, the programme is being launched in six blocks of Senapati district, said the IAS officer and added that the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan has been prioritised as a flagship programme in the district because of the low literacy rate at the district which stands at 54 pc against the State's 68 pc.

The full programme of the interaction with Kesarwani can be heard on Kangla and Sangai channel of AIR on July 9 at 7 am.

The second segment of the programme will be broadcast on 16 July on the same channel at the same time.
