Ruling MLAs discuss condition of IDPs

A meeting of the ruling MLAs was held today at the Chief Minister's Secretariat to discuss welfare programmes for internally displaced people (IDPs).
Chaired by Chief Minister Y Khemchand, the meeting began at 7 pm and was attended by NDA MLAs.
including Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Tourism Minister Kh Loken, Th Biswajit, S Rajen, Th Basantakumar, K Robindro, T Robindro, Dinganglung Gangmei, L Rameshwar, Dr Y Radheshyam, Th Radheshyam, Kh Joykisan, Th Arunkumar, H Dingo, Dr S.Ranjan, Kh Raghumani, Sapam Kunjakeshwar, Dr U Deben, SS Olish, S Premchandra, Kh Ibomcha, Th Shyamkumar, Karam Shyam, P Brojen, RK Imo, K Leishiyo, Khasim Vashum, Awangbow Newmai, Ram Muivah, Janghemlung Panmei, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Th Shanti, I Nalini, Sapam Nishikanta, Abdul Nassir, M Rameshwar, Md Achaab Uddin, and J Kumo Sha, among others.
It is reported that some Kuki MLAs, including Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, attended the meeting virtually.
The meeting reportedly focused on implementing various welfare programmes for IDPs in both hill and valley districts.
The MLAs also discussed forming teams to visit IDP camps and listen to grievances.
The meeting also discussed providing assistance to IDPs living with serious ailments.
Some MLAs noted that certain IDPs are unable to understand English, Hindi, or Manipuri, and a discussion was held to identify them.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the law and order situation in the State.
