Imphal, March 05 2025: The condition of the Tinsid Road leading to Khurai Lamlong Keithel, one of the major markets, has deteriorated and become "dangerous" for commuters, said an RTI activist writing to the Governor to look into the issue before the onset of monsoon.

The road is the lifeline of many villages, but its condition has deteriorated.

The road is filled with numerous potholes posing a hazard to the drivers and pedestrians alike, said Kambam Seityajit in a representation submitted to the Governor.

Particularly, potholes on the narrow bridge over the Kongba River have become life threatening, he said, urging the Governor to look into the degrading road and bridge "before someone loses precious life, and before the onset of monsoon" .
