Imphal, June 04 2024: The Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) has extended heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of its founder secretary general, Ningombam Priyobarta of Basikhong Mamang Leikai.

He passed away on the intervening night of June 1 and 2, 2024, due to an illness.

He was 69.To mourn his demise, a condolence meeting was held at HERICOUN Office presided over by Y Surjitkumar Khuman, HERICOUN president, said a statement issued by A Anand, secretary general, HERICOUN.

The gathering, consisting of executive members and advisors, observed a 2-minute silence for the deceased soul to rest in peace.

HERICOUN has also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Moreover, the Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts & Cultural Society (KIMACS) has also expressed profound sorrow and condolence over the sudden demise of Ningombam Priyobarta.

KIMACS has also shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
