Noney, November 03 2021: A one day political campaign on the theme, "Solemn declaration of support for Janghemlung Panmei, ex-MLA, intending candidate 53/AC (ST) Tamenglong" was held on Wednesday at Khumji-3, Noney District.

It was jointly organised by Khumji-3, Village Authority in collaboration with Awangkhul and Haochong Segments Election Steering Committee of Janghiamlung Panmei.

The programme was moderated by James Inka and Sk Gaichamliu while Forceson Khumba delivered the welcome address.

Rev Vaiton, Pastor Nungtek-1 Church also conducted a special blessing prayer at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Janghiamlung Panmei assured the people to work for women empowerment, social justice, change & development in the society and work for the upliftment of remote villages under Tamenglong AC.

During the programme, the Khumji-3, Thoubei, Village Authority, woman & youths unanimously resolved in one spirit and solemnly declared their support to Janghiamlung Panmei, intending BJP Candidate in the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 .

Later, several renowned artists including Thangmeiso Singlai, Raj Elangbam, Anutam Riamroi, Jianchuiliu Gangmei, Elizabeth Maringmei and Khangsinlung Gangmei also performed at the event.

It was attended by Meinam Bhorot Singh, ex-MLA & former president BJP Manipur Pradesh; Th Mathew Rongmei, convenor Department of Education Management, BJP Manipur Pradesh; Amapui Maringmei, district in charge, Mahila Morcha BJP Tamenglong; Emmins Plilathing, treasure ST Morcha BJP as presidium members.

Several intending ADC candidates and former ADC members under 53/AC Tamenglong also attended the programme.
