SUK launches tree plantation drive

Imphal, June 02 2024: In a bid to address the environmental concerns and rejuvenate the degraded forests, Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) launched a 5-days tree plantation drive under the theme "Sanghallasi Kangleipak" on Saturday.

In a release, SUK informed that the plantation drive was launched with the aim to address environmental challenges, enhance ecological balance and promote a greener future for generations to come.

Members of the Union will aim to plant more than 5000 tree saplings at different locations during the 5-days drive.

On the first day, members of SUK planted tree saplings at Khurkhul, Moirangkampu, Heirok, Thanga Eting and Tezpur.

Further, SUK has appealed to all the people, clubs & associations to provide their support in the tree plantation drive to make the State cleaner & greener.
