Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh T honoured with "Best Associate NCC Officers" award

In a moment of immense pride and recognition, Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh T, serving as the Principal of MB College, Imphal and Associate NCC Officer of 14 (M) Bn NCC has been honoured as one of the "Best Associate National Cadet Corps (NCC) Officers" of India.
The award was presented to Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh T by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of Assam, Nandita Garlosa during an award ceremony held at Kalakshetra, Guwahati, on March 25, said a press release issued by Capt (Dr) Th Nishikanta Singh, Assistant Professor, History, MB College.

The ceremony was graced by Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Governor of Assam, as the chief guest, senior Army dignitaries, Major General Gagan Deep, Sena Medal, ADG NCC NER and all NCC Group Commanders of NCC-NER. The prestigious award acknowledges Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh T's exceptional leadership, dedication and commitment to fostering discipline, patriotism, and youth empowerment through the NCC, said the release.
Expressing his gratitude for the recognition, Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh attributed his success to the unwavering support of his Commanding Officer Col N Gojendro Singh, Adm Officer Maj Rajkumar Bigyan, colleagues and cadets.
Maj (Dr) Bhabananda Singh T has been an integral part of the NCC.
He was commissioned from Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee in 2010 with 'A' Grading.
He was awarded "Best of the Best" in his course for promotion to the rank of Major, for achieving overall best during the training.
He is a decorated officer of NCC, Imphal Group, the recipient of DG NCC Commendation from the Director General of NCC, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
The event celebrated the extraordinary contributions of Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) who have demonstrated unwavering devotion to training and mentoring young cadets, shaping them into responsible citizens and future leaders.
The ceremony also included felicitation of other outstanding NCC officers and cadets.
The event concluded with a cultural program.
