Tanker found short of over 1K litres while unloading fuel

Imphal, August 28 2024:
An oil tanker was found short of 1509.49 litres of petrol when unloading the fuel at United Brothers, an IOCL retail outlet at Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak.
The oil tanker bearing Registration No MN01 8418 has a capacity of 20 kilolitres of petrol.
The tanker was loaded with 20 kilolitres of petrol at the Malom Depot on Monday and was supposed to dispense its load at three pumps.
The tanker dispensed its load at two IOCL pumps yesterday (Tuesday), and was to dump the remaining 8 kilolitres of petrol at the pump at Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak.
The tanker arrived at the United Brothers oil pump at 3.45 am today, but when it was about to unload the 8 kilolitres of petrol into the storage tank, it was found short of 1509.49 litres.
After a complaint was made with the Malom Depot and an agreement was reached, the tanker was allowed to unload the fuel at the pump.
