Imphal, April 26 2026:
With Manipur on the edge again following the twin tragedies at Trongloabi and the ambush near TM Kasom, Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho has emphasised that achieving peace in the State requires collective efforts.
He made this statement during the platinum jubilee celebration of the Ragailong Youth Club (RYC), held at the Ragailong Centenary Community Hall in Imphal East today.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that the seven-point memorandum submitted to the Government by various civil society organisations reflect long-standing concerns of the people.
He noted that the memorandum also seeks justice for the victims of recent tragedies viz; the bomb attack in Trongloabi that killed a newborn girl and her five-year-old brother, the CRPF firing that claimed three lives, and the ambush near TM Kasom, which resulted in the deaths of two Naga civilians.
Dikho stated that the Government is actively working to address these issues and meet the aspirations of the people.
Emphasising the importance of unity in restoring normalcy in the State, he called on the public to cooperate in safeguarding the lives and property of all citizens.
He, meanwhile, extended best wishes to RYC in its future endeavours.
The programme was also attended by Wangkhei AC MLA Th Arunkumar, former Minister O Henry and former IMC Deputy Mayor Meibon Phaomei, among others.
