SFs seize arms, ammo

Imphal, September 25 2025: Security forces seized a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from the foothill of Salungpham Mamang Leikai near Ringpam Village under Heirok police station in Thoubal today.

The seized items include one 7.62 SLR rifle along with a magazine, one carbine with a magazine, one rifle, two single bore action rifles, one SBBL PAG, two Chinese HE hand grenades, one local made explosive, one 7.62 (AK) live round, four 9mm live rounds, one INS AS magazine, one tear smoke shell, two Baofeng handsets with two chargers, 10 bulletproof jackets, forty camouflage pants, 32 camouflage shirts, 17 camouflage caps, six magazine pouches, 21 belts, 13 pairs of boots, one backpack, one helmet, two PLA name-plates and one PLA badge, according to a Police Control Room (PCR) bulletin.

The police also stated one Meisnam Geetchadra (38) of Khurai Konsam Leikai was arrested from Khurai Sajor Leikai today along with 23,304 Tramadol tablets, 1390 Nitrapal tablets and 1383 bottles of Bercodex syrup.

The PCR went on to state that 400 litre of DIC liquor which were transported in a Toyota High Rider were seized at Nungoo Lamkhai yesterday and disposed of later.
