Senapati to launch intensive MBU, APAAR ID drive

The District Administration, Senapati, will launch an intensive "district-wide campaign from August 24 to September 11 to complete Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) and generate APAAR IDs for eligible students enrolled in government and private schools across the district.
The campaign, to be conducted under the supervision of the District Administration, aims to achieve 100 per cent coverage of eligible students requiring biometric updates and digital identification.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ADC, Senapati, and the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Senapati, have been directed to continue and intensify the MBU campaign in all government and private schools according to the prescribed schedule.
Heads of educational institutions have been instructed to identify students requiring MBU and prepare the necessary lists, with particular focus on students who have attained the ages of five and 15 years, as applicable.
Schools have also been directed to ensure the presence of eligible students at designated Aadhaar enrolment and update camps on the scheduled dates.
The designated monitoring officers, including the CEO, ADC, Senapati, ZEO, Senapati, and designated Block Resource Person Ephraim Chawang, have been tasked with carrying out sensitisation and awareness activities among school authorities, students and parents on the importance of completing MBU and generating APAAR IDs .
All Sub-Divisional Officers have also been directed to coordinate closely with education authorities, school managements and Aadhaar operators to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the campaign within their respective jurisdictions.
Aadhaar operators deployed for the drive will provide the required MBU services in accordance with applicable UIDAI guidelines.
In cases requiring fresh Aadhaar enrolment, students will have to produce the necessary supporting documents, including their birth certificate, and be accompanied by a parent possessing a valid Aadhaar card.
Schools and concerned officials will also facilitate awareness among students and parents regarding the required documentation and procedures.
The campaign will cover schools across various blocks of Senapati district, with Aadhaar operators to be deployed at designated locations throughout the campaign period.
The District Administration has appealed to Heads of Institutions, students, parents, Aadhaar operators and all concerned officials to extend full cooperation and ensure the campaign is implemented in a coordinated, systematic and time-bound manner to achieve 100 per cent coverage of eligible students across the district.
