Imphal, April 21 2026 :
The Pambei-led UNLF has asked the Government of India to stop the alleged State terrorism being committed in Manipur using proxy forces.
A statement issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity and Education Secretary Charairongba Thokchom recalled the shocking incidents of April 7, 2026 at Tronglaobi where two sleeping children (Oinam Tomthin, 5 yrs and Oinam Yaisana, 5 months) were killed in a bomb attack and inflicting critical injuries to their mother, as well as the killing of three unarmed protesters (Wahengbam Boby, Huidrom Michael and Laishram Jiten) by CRPF on the same day.
It also recalled the deadly ambush upon civilian commuters on Imphal-Ukhrul road on April 18, 2026 in which Chinaoshang Shok-wungnao and Yaruingam Vashum were killed.
The outfit asserted that these attacks and killings were carried out by India's proxy forces in pursuit of a hidden agenda.
It asked whether the Government of India has any explanation not to call these attacks acts of terrorism.
Driven by its hidden agenda, the Government of India has been working consistently to destroy the National integrity of Manipur.
At the same time, the Government of India has been oppressing the people of Manipur without any respect as if it is demonstrating that Manipur, which once existed as a sovereign Nation for thousands of years, is a colony of India, the outfit said.
People who protest this oppression and injustice in a democratic manner are being persecuted by Indian armed forces in the name of suppressing the protests, it said.
Manipur Police personnel who are unable to face enemies in the battlefields are also unleashing brute force upon unarmed protesters who would not fight back, it said.
If the bravado shown by Manipur Police personnel in suppressing public protest was shown in protecting Manipur, all the people will be very proud of them, it asserted.
The outfit said that all the people know the role of Manipur Police in the many battles of the conflict which erupted on May 3, 2023 .
As such, Manipur Police personnel should stop committing excesses upon the people.
It is well known to all the people that there is not a single incident of Kukis attacking Indian armed forces for any political demand.
There is no argument against the assertion that the Government of India signed the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement to use Kukis as proxy forces in their efforts to suppress the liberation movement of Manipur and WESEA, it said.
Taking advantage of this agreement, armed Kukis have been killing innocent people in total violation of the International Humanitarian Law.
With as many as 14 camps opened in the hills surrounding the valley, the Kuki militants are allowed to operate freely.
In some cases, Kuki militants stay together with Indian armed forces in the latter's camps, it alleged.
The outfit said that the oppression and persecution being suffered by the people will not end as long as Manipur remains a colony of India.
It added that the people of Manipur need to study how Lenin's holistic outlook of Bolshevism helped the Russian Revolution overcome many challenges and ultimately made the revolution victorious.
