Delhi approves Rs 400.42 Cr aid

The Central Government has approved a total of Rs 400.42 crore in special assistance package to the Manipur Government out of which Rs 203.24 crore has been released till December 31, 2023 .
It may be noted that the packages were approved and released in view of the prevailing law and order situation arising due to the Manipur conflict.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, North East Division, the Central Government approved Rs 101.75 crore as a one-time special assistance for operation of relief camps for people displaced due to violence in the State.
Out of this sum, Rs 83.58 crore has been released till December 31, 2023 .
Additionally, a sum of Rs 97.36 crore has been released out of Rs 209.45 crore approved as a special package to the Manipur Government for running relief and rehabilitation schemes for victims.
Lastly, Rs 22.30 crore was released out of Rs 89.22 crore approved for a scheme to ensure compulsory nutrition and personal hygiene support to the people living in relief camps.
