Imphal, May 19 2021: Keishamthong AC MLA L Jayantakumar presented two oxygen concentrators to Keishamthong Kendra Covid Committee at Pishumthong Ningombam Leikai Community Hall, today.

At the function, the former Health Minister said that the O2 concentrators would be kept at the Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) for the Constituency at Kwakeithel.

Saying that the two machines that concentrate oxygen from a gas supply were procured from the committee's fund at around Rs 90, 000 apiece, the MLA added that one vehicle will also be bought shortly for use by the committee as Government ambulances are limited and private vehicles refuse to carry Covid patients often.

L Jayantakumar is the chairperson of the Keishamthong Kendra Covid Committee.

On the other hand, Preshyojit Sanglakpam, intending candidate for the upcoming Assembly election from Thongju distributed edibles in containment zones of the Constituency while State president of Apna Dal (Sonelal), K Manoranjan provided cash assistance to households in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC under containment areas.

K Manoranjan appealed the public to maintain COVID-19 SOP as mandated by the Government in order to stay safe from the virus.
