Yechury condoled

INDIA Bloc, Manipur unit convened a condolence meeting at Irabot Bhavan today and mourned the demise of CPI (M) general security Sitaram Yechury.
The Left leader died at 72 yesterday.
The condolence meeting was participated by CLP leader and former Chief Minister O Ibobi, CPI central committee member Dr Nara, CPI (M), State unit secretary Ksh Shanta, CPI (M) senior leader S Jugol, JD (U), Manipur vice president 6 Nabakishore and representatives of AAP and Shiv Sena (UBT) among others.
The gathering led by Ibobi offered floral tributes to the photo of Sitaram Yechury.
They also observed silence for a minute in honour of the Left leader.
At the meeting, Ibobi said that the passing away of a prominent figure like Sitaram Yechury is a great loss for every Indian.
He prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Saying that the Left leader was a hero who fought to protect democracy, the former Chief Minister said that the INDIA Bloc will carry on the legacy of Sitaram Yechury.
