Kangpokpi, March 06 2025: Outer Manipur (ST) Lok Sabha MP Alfred Kanngam S Arthur led a crucial District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting today at LNC Hotel, Kangpokpi Headquarters, marking a significant step in reviewing and accelerating development initiatives in the region.

The high-level review meeting, aimed at assessing the progress of key Government schemes and programs, was attended by Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, who also serves as the Member Secretary of the committee.

Various departments, including the PWD, PHED, Horticulture, District Industries Centre, Veterinary, Information & Technology, District Supply Office, Ministry of Women & Child Development (ICDS), District Health Society, and Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, presented comprehensive reports on their activities and achievements, providing a clear picture of the district's developmental landscape.

Government schemes and projects across multiple sectors were scrutinized, with special attention given to crucial areas such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, agriculture, and rural employment.

MP Alfred Kanngam S Arthur emphasized the need for transparency, efficiency, and timely execution of these projects to ensure that benefits reach the grassroots level.

He urged all departments to work in close coordination to address challenges and expedite development efforts.

The MP also highlighted the importance of bifurcating data based on block-wise allocation to enhance resource distribution and utilization.

Additionally, he urged officials to expedite pending cases to facilitate timely and efficient decision-making.

The meeting concluded with a strong resolution to enhance governance and implementation efficiency, paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable future for the people of the district.
