Imphal, September 01 2025: Manipur police arrested four members of "Keishal Village Volunteer Organization" for transporting illegal arms and ammunition yesterday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rajkumar Sidharth alias Momo (33) of Sagolband Bijoy Govinda, Imphal West district, Laishram Rameshor Meitei (44) of Lairikyengbam Leikai Salam Leirak.

Imphal East district, Athokpam Brojendro Singh alias Mukil (45) of Top Awang Leikai, Imphal East district and Laishram Sachikanta Singh alias Naothing (25) of Top Awang Leikai, Imphal East district.

From their possession, police seized one defective 9mm Pistol along with one magazine, one modified .303 Rifle with a scope, two AK Rifles, two AK Ghatak Rifles, one INSAS Rifle, two 7.62mm SLRs.

two 9mm Carbines, three .303 Rifles, two 7.56mm INSAS Rifles, one 7.62 mm SLR, one No 36 HE hand grenade with detonator, one Chinese hand grenade with detonator, one WP grenade, one detonator, two tube launchers and a huge quantity of ammunition of different types.

The police also recovered anti-riot weapons including two stun shells, two tear smoke shells, one stun grenade and a huge quantity of magazines.
